Capt. Virender Singh, Founder and Farmer-in-Chief of Grow My Crop is hard to describe through a single vocation. Finishing his Ph.D. in Management at 63 from the University of Delhi recently, he personifies learning has no age limit. Due to his genuine interest in enabling the youth by driving them to become competent and enriching individuals, his experience of training and allied fields has been valued across sectors for over forty years. As someone hailing from a family of cultivators in Haryana, Capt. Singh believes that enterprise can become eco-systems for forging meaningful connections between farmers, local populations, and buyers from the region. Through Grow My Crop, he hopes to actualize this vision while supporting sustainable practices for nature and our times.
Ms. Suresh Singh, our Cultivator-in-Chief and Co-Founder, carries with her 35 years of teaching and administrative experience at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road. Retired as a much loved and respected teacher of Economics, she took special interest in Indian Economic Development, along with running endeavors of equitable learning such as DPS Ibtida Shiksha Kendra. A nature lover and a driving force behind Grow My Crop’s vision of sustainability, she will be taking a special interest in making farming and agriculture understood and integrated into people’s lives across age groups.
With over thirty years of experience in agricultural farm management, facilitated by training in Agriculture Science from Haryana Agriculture University and Agricultural University Coimbatore, Manjeet Dahiya is Grow My Crop’s Technical Advisor.
Coordinating between 35 mini-farms is an uphill task unless enabled by years of farming experience. Ashok Ji exercises precisely that when he identifies crop growth that’s stopping the passage of sunlight or touches the soil to see if more dripping is required! Ashok Dahiya is who we bank on for all matters concerning on-field supervision!
